What to do with the Kids? Enjoying the Sunnier Days with Educational Toys and Crafts
All parents face one common problem with their children. What to do with them in the holidays? With Christmas comfortably out of the way, and the long summer holiday only just on the horizon the problem is at the back of our minds. This year, in the UK at least, we have the pleasure of an extra bank holiday, thanks to the Royal Wedding. This particular present to the nation may have you tearing your hair out, if you are already struggling for ideas to keep the kids entertained this Spring. There is always the option of buying them something new for the play-station and/or chaining them to a ring in the floor. Neither option really appeals to modern parents, besides one is illegal and the other ought to be. Most parents rightly feel that this is an opportunity to spend time with the kids and we feel we should not only be entertaining them, but subtly helping them to learn and develop their minds as well. Besides, however hard it can be juggling jobs and family, time with our kids wins every time. With all this in mind it might be worth thinking about investing in some educational toys this spring. Just because they’re educational doesn’t mean they aren’t fun – or messy – you’ve been warned. Shops and internet sites offering early years resources have a positive raft of educational toys and ideas to fill this Spring up with a bit of family fun, but here are some ideas to get you started.
